Changing your behavior

I’ve been fairly lucky metabolism-wise most of my life. Athletic as a teenager, never gained much weight despite not being super active in my 20s. In my 30s, my career got busy, I moved to a new city with a ton of pressure to maintain my social life (which is often food or drinks). I order most of my meals & have a hard time finding time & energy to work out. I’m about 20-30 lbs more than I’ve ever been & it’s taking a huge toll on my self esteem. My clothes don’t fit and I want to avoid going out and just hide in sweats. Would love any tips for how you got started and broke the cycle of bad behavior. I’m afraid I’m just settling into this rut.
