Back on the horse after 3+ years of complacency

A long time ago (about 6 years ago now), I lost about 11kg in 2 months when I was 16. I definitely did it unhealthily and way too fast, but it allowed me to feel way more confidence in myself and how I looked. It also laid the foundations for a healthier lifestyle and I managed to keep it up until I was around 18.

Then, I got into a relationship which ended around when Covid fired up in March last year. During that I absolutely piled weight back on, because I got too comfortable.

THEN, I had surgery for a hernia which prevented me from being able to workout for a full year while I waited to recover completely. Chuck on a load of mental health issues that stemmed from said relationship, and I found myself where I was about a month ago. Its been a shitty 2020 and 2021 for myself (and probably everyone else), but I digress.

Anyway, I'm 2 weeks in to my calorie deficit, and 4 weeks into my gym routine and im already down ~3kg and noticing changes in the mirror. It feels fucking good to be back.

I hope to meet you all at the finish line again one day. We got this.
