Why is it so hard to lose weight!!

Okay so I gained 15 pounds this year bc of quarantine/working from home/ gyms being closed for so long/eating out of boredom. I didn’t care that much because I just thought that when gyms opened back up again, the weight would easily come off.

But I’ve been working out for 11 days straight and have gained a pound! How!? I usually burn about 500 calories. Yesterday I did 800.

Is this normal?? All I’ve been doing is the rowing machine, elliptical with high resistance, and occasionally the stair master.

As for calories, I don’t count everyday bc counting calories just gives me anxiety, but on the days that I do count, it’s usually between 1500- 2100. I guess I should lower the calories. Ugh I hate dieting.

Sorry, this is more of a rant. I’m just frustrated and need a place to let it out lol.

Oh, for anyone who’s wondering, I’m 25 (turning 26😢), F, 5’6, 148

On a side note, how long did it take you guys to lose 20 pounds?
