Started my journey last week...

Long time lurker, first time poster in this sub. I love reading everyone’s stories here and quietly cheer everybody on!!

22F, SW = 290lbs

Yikes. I’ve always been a bigger kid, but when I weighed myself few weeks back, I was a shocked. I haven’t weighed myself in a least a year (even then I didn’t like the number I saw). So after a couple weeks of having a mini meltdown / crisis, I took the “leap” and started eating better. I’m tracking what goes in with an app. I’m trying to move around more, but a desk job / being in Canada in the dead of winter makes going out for walks a little difficult this time of year.

I’m very excited to see progress and overall be healthier.

Today was day five and I am still motivated! But I’m scared later on down the road I’m going to get sidetracked. What are some good tips to stay motivated though my journey?!
