Before you started eating healthier and actually trying to lose weight, what did those of you who live alone do with all the leftover junk food in your house? Did you eat it first to get it out of the way or just tossed it? Or..?

I am mostly talking about certain food items that you can't return to the store and that you also can't donate to a food bank.. things like open bags of chips and cookies, frozen stuff, perishable stuff, etc. I used to live with a few people but I live alone now. Usually I'd just let my roommates eat whatever junk food I had (although that also sucks because having roommates who eat junk food means those temptations are usually around all the time) or I'd just give them to friends/family but sadly I don't know anyone here yet.

So.. what did/do you do? Toss it out or did you try to eat it and get it out of the way first? Unfortunately I am not the type of person who is likely to resist temptation with junk food around so I have to get rid of it somehow. Thanks in advance!
