Losing weight in Africa is hard

Hi there!

This is my first time on Reddit. I've been trying to loose weight since I was 14. I tried yo yo dieting and lost 25 lbs then regained even more (35 lbs). I tried educating myself about the proper nutrition and lifestyle changes to make and decided to focus on eating healthy and building muscle.

It's very difficult in for people living in developing countries to access a gym and proper nutrients. My protein intake is as low as 50 g because I can't manage to buy chicken or beef. Carbs make up 70% of my diet. It is devastating for me that I have been working out and eating healthy for a whole year but stay overweight.

No matter what, I believe that someday, in some sort of way, I will achieve and maintain my dream body.
