Does it matter WHAT I eat, as long as I'm at a calorie deficit?

For context, my BMR is 1600, and I eat one large meal a day (around 900-1100 calories).

So i did something crazy this past week... I came back from a long vacation where I had no sugar or candy or basically anything sweet for months. So I got back to my home and was craving sweets for days. Long story short, I had 990-1200 calories of ice cream a day, for 5 days as my one meal (I was suprsingly satisfied for the day actually). So I recently started eating normally again, and im wondering.

Does it matter that I ate 5 days worth of ice cream, as long as im at a calorie deficit ill lose weight... right?
