M36 July 2019 to January 2020 down 100lbs and feeling awesome!

Well I have some pretty exciting news, I’ve hit a mile stone and I feel like it’s finally worth sharing. Last July I made a decision to make some changes in my life. I was tired, miserable and starting to experience joint pain from carrying all the extra weight. After a lot of research and a ton of trial and error I finally figured out a way to eat healthy (without giving up foods I love) and to find enjoyment in exercising. I looked into many different diets but they just didn’t seem like they would last, they were just quick fixes. I still eat three meals a day plus snacks and even though I’m currently in a caloric deficit every day I don’t feel like I’m starving because of the foods I choose to eat. I find zero enjoyment in cardio so lifting weights has become my go to, it’s been extremely motivating as the weight comes off and new muscle growth shows. I’m happy again and I have an over abundance of energy. I can’t say that it is easy, and there is no magic way to lose the weight, it’s all about working hard and and being aware of the calories you are consuming. I haven’t hit my final weight goal yet but I keep pushing every day.
