Those more-low-calorie days

Finished off the day at exactly 1,030 calories and being a super morbidly obese person weighing 347.6 lbs now, I am supposed to eat 1,800 a day (according to my nutritionist).
I didn’t exercise today and I’m not hungry. I feel very satisfied and my diet today consisted of all protein and veggies. I don’t think that this day will make me go on a binge later. I think it’s relatively healthy. I started at 358lbs 10 days ago. After the initial giant weight-shed, I’ve been losing .2 lbs everyday which means 1.4lbs a week. Here is a question for discussion- are diets that are under 1200 calories a day- like 800 or so- bad for someone who is super- morbidly- obese? As far as I know, people who get gastric bypass surgery eat that much or less. How could it be bad?
