Is it a good idea to weigh yourself while on your period?

I know TMI, but I really am curious. I have religiously lost 2 pounds for the last 5 weeks and am coming to the end of the 6th week tomorrow. I did an early weigh in this morning before eating, drinking and not clothed and had not lost any weight. I’ve been keeping to my 1400 or less calorie intake religiously so I don’t know what’s going on. I remember hearing that you retain water weight while on your period and am wondering if that’s true. I get water weight can be an excuse for some people, but I really am curious. Can anyone give me some solid information if what I am thinking of correct or incorrect?
