Recommendations?

Greetings boys and girls.

I'm a new dad! I've also become larger than life over the past year or two.

I went from a surprisingly slim 270ish to a not so slim 300 (I'm 6'3'')

Anyway, I just got word from the doc that my cholesterol needs to come down (ldl at 169) and I obviously want to lose some weight too (my goal is to get down to around 220)

Obviously I'll be trying to diet and exercise. For now I'm replacing my snacking with fruit or veggies, and generally trying to cut fried food out, and spending a half hour a day on the exercise bike until I can condition myself to do more.

My question is:

How do ya'll stay on your regiments, and what is the hardest part?

I need to beat this for my new twins.
