Help on staying active

At the start of 2019, I began a serious effort to lose weight, I walked daily, changed what I ate and honestly tried my best to stick with it. After a few months, my efforts had plateaued, with very little happening in terms of the lost, so I joined a gym.

I went twice a week to begin with, but then in June I went overseas for a week and once I returned, it was the middle of Winter and I honestly had no drive to visit the gym. I have been back twice since then, even though I am still paying for it.

What do people suggest in order to stay on target, I am ok with counting water or food, setting goals and such, but I just get so bored going to a gym on my own, even though I know I need to.

If it helps, I live in Melbourne, Australia and am male. thanks
