Advice for a beginner run?

hey y’all.

My endurance for running is super super crappy (it’s always been). I just started on my treadmill and I’m currently doing 1 minute jogging with 1 minute rest, and it’s been going good so far. I’m gradually wanting to build my endurance up.

However, I have a very weak core. In the past when I’ve tried to run, I’d get back pain, which I believe is a very bad sign. I really want to start running but if this becomes an issue I may have to give it up. How can I avoid this problem???

I plan on doing core strength exercises but can I still run in the meanwhile? Also what are some good exercises? Anyone else had a similar experience?
