Second goal reached and I am finally under 100 kg, never going to cross that border again.

I am a 24 year old guy and I am 1.74 meters, and I am just getting started in this wight-loss journey!

I am not doing this in a correct way though. I never cheat, it might make you think that dieting looks hard to me, actually it isn't. It's so satisfying and encouraging to see my weight going down, and I remember when I was eating junk food, it always made me feel bad. I am mentally feeling a lot better now.

I am losing weight faster than I should, while it might be harming my body, to be honest, it feels good. So I will stick to it but of course I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I am a mentally broken man, on the edge of suicide, what I do is harmful for my body. I should have been doing it in a more proper way but I know I won't.

As I lose weight, I will probably start to lose weight slower, if I keep eating similar things, the same callories. As a solution, I am thinking about starting to work out to gain muscle weight.

Now I am not the type of guy who enjoys even the thought of working out but I am as weak as a child. I don't know how my body can move, it feels like I don't have any muscles whatsoever. I am fat and seeing myself getting thinner and lighter makes me feel good and it's an inspiration to keep going but gaining muscles is not an exciting thing for me. I know it's healthy, I know I will look and feel better, I know that a lot of things will start to get better about my life, it will regulate a lot things but still, it's a huge effort. It requires me to get up and do something. It's not like a nice walk, walking is a hobby for me but this...

Still, I am planning on doing it. I will be as easy as I can be on myself. I don't want it to be daunting.

I actually had a plan to go out to eat for once as a reward for going below 100 but I don't know, everything is so expensive and I am still not confident with my body at all. And for going below 95 I was planning to go to a cafe and trying all kinds of coffees to see what I like, but that requires drinking a lot of coffees and probably that will be even more expensive :D But I will get my ears pierced when I go below 90 for sure.

Healthy eating sucks

Is it just me or does healthy eating and exercise just plain suck some days.

Most of the time I enjoy the food I am eating now and I really enjoy how much better my health is because of it. But some days I just wanna grab a bag of popcorn and veg in front of the TV not spend most of my evening either exercising, doing chores, or listening to my kids complain about their day.

It used to be that after doing everything I had to do for the day I had an hour or so to just relax before bed. Now that me time is taken up by either going for a walk or doing a workout. Does anybody else struggle to find time for themselves now your more active and if you have managed to solve this issue please share your strategy.

Anxiety and Low Self Esteem from Exercise

I really want to get active again. Though always overweight, I played sports until high school and since then my health and ability has declined greatly. Now, whenever I try to exercise, I get anxious immediately and have to stop. It's not a physical thing , it's mental. I'm embarrassed and cringe at myself for being the fat guy trying to lose weight. A minute of "exercise" will leave me paralyzed with self hatred for the rest of the day. Does anyone else experience this and how to do I overcome it?

Focusing on sustainable balance in my life, sad to see the scale go up instead of down

I had a wake-up call on Mother's Day (May 8th) when none of my dress clothes fit anymore and I had to go out to a nice restaurant in stretchy jeans and a plain tank-top. But instead of a crash diet or punishing myself for it, I'm dedicated to finally finding balance in my life!

I'm hitting the gym for consistent workouts (focused on weightlifting because that's what I enjoy), I'm eating way less junk food and I'm counting my calories again but not restricting too heavily yet. I cut back from 3000+ calories a day (an estimate from my usual grief/depression binging, I'm not proud of myself for that) to roughly 1800 a day and what I eat is almost always homecooked or fresh with the exception of a once a week meal out that I account for in my day's calories.

I went to weigh myself to see my progress and I was pretty discouraged to see that number up 3lbs. It's a small amount, but I figured after cutting out the junk food and ramping up my fitness that it would have been minus 3 instead.

It might just be my muscles holding water as they repair, or maybe the months of binge eating are catching up to me before they level out, but it's a bummer all the same.

Thanks for letting me vent about it. Today is leg day, my favourite, so that'll cheer me up for sure. Regardless of the scale, I still want to get stronger!

Best Friend Posted a Meme "I Don't Want to Hear About Your Diet" Now I just feel crappy :/

For some context, me and my best friend are both 300 + lb young women. Getting McDonalds or fast food has been a common part of our hangouts . I have definitely talked about my diet with her because it comes up when I'm no longer getting my usual Baja Blast or something. I have also been honest that I would be happier at a lower weight, due to a myriad of health issues and also because my body carries weight in a way that is unattractive (I have no ass but a giant gut). My friend has told me she accepts her body and has no desire to lose weight, and also she thinks weight loss would be too hard because she likes food too much. I'm not really here to judge that, altho I'd say I love food too LOL.

I have also posted on social media, mostly sharing salads and foods, and looking for friends on MyFitnessPal. I've also posted a few funny moments, like when MFP congratulated me for eating Gummy Bears for breakfast (this food is high in protein) XD. Another best friend of mine has started CICO and added me there too, so that's been cool!

Enter mutual friend. She posts this meme of an obese woman (I'd say 47ish BMI, like morbidly obese) that says "I don't care about your diet" and then her caption was "Never talk about Diets with me, thx." The friend that posted this does not have a weight issue like I do. She is not nearly 180lbs overweight like I am. She can walk up a flight of stairs, or down, and not worry about her knees sliding out of place. She can fit in an airline seat. She can leave a room and not be referred to as the "fat lady." And my best friend had liked the photo. :/

I've just felt like crap ever since I saw it. I know it's dumb, and small, but it's super frustrating to deal with. Anyone else have to deal with something similar?

Losing weight but knee issue...

Just got a job at chick-fil-a, and today was my first day. By maybe an hour and a half left of a 4 hour shift standing the entire time, my knees and feet started to feel uncomfortable. Not complete pain, but egh yknow? I already have knee problems because I dislocated my left in the past, and I definitely need to strengthen that muscle.

I'm wondering if that would be possible while losing weight..? Or do you think overall the pain will be less as I lose weight. I mean, most of my weight is directed in my thighs, so that would make sense. Not trying to do body recomposition really... kinda having food issues in general, as we don't have much food stamps at the moment, so I don't want to bulk. Plus overall I'm not completely sure how it even works, or if I even have the patience for it. Tips would be nice!
